Drawing as My Truest Language
Digital drawing and animation have always been the most delicate language of my inner self. Since childhood, I have expressed emotions and stories through illustrations, reinterpreting the world with my own lens and sense of immersion.
Art has also been my bridge to empathy. Through creative commissions, I donated more than $1,000 to the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), connecting imagination with giving. While some of my works reached tens of thousands of views and over 10,000 followers, what I value most is not the numbers, but the quiet strength I gained from carrying an idea all the way to its full expression.
For me, true achievement lies not in visibility, but in how sincerely we fill the unseen process. Highlights:
UNHCR Digital Art Fundraiser – Ongoing Since 2022
TEDx Speaker – Ethical Costs of Generative AI in the Arts (2025) Founded digital art channel @dyleeart (12K+ global followers, 300K+ views) showcasing technical skill; Raised $1K+ for United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees; Demonstrated my depth of understanding in a TEDx Talk on "Ethical Costs of AI inArt," drawing on my artist/data analyst perspective to encourage responsible, human-centered creation.
Founder & Director - BHA Animation Studio Founded school's first animation club. Designed & taught a beginner-friendly 2D animation curriculum on storyboarding,depicting movement, and other various animation techniques. Led our team's collaborative short fi lm inspired by <Matilda>.Mentoring peers, and uplifted individual creative choices by encouraging the use of unique art styles.
Cultural Heritage Art Project: Haenyeo & Marine Conservation Co-wrote/illustrated <Story of Haenyeo>, honoring Haenyeos (women divers), who are Jeju's UNESCO Intangible Heritage.Made the value of tradition approachable to young leaders by depicting their lives and struggles. Donated all proceeds tomarine conservation, connecting culture with environmental action, which reinforced my bond to the community.
6 Years – School Orchestra (Flute & Percussion) Contributed to the school's performing arts through music and theater. As a percussionist, strengthened discipline andensemble coordination. In theater, designed sets/ visuals for <Annie> & <The Wizard of Oz>; managed backstage operations.Connected artistic vision with technical needs while supporting team performance under pressure.
